Summary: We collect only what we need, use it only for the purpose you gave it, hold it for no longer than necessary, and will delete it promptly on request. We never sell your data and share it only with our named partners in the course of a search or programme.
1. Who we are
Mission Match is a trading name of Mo Mission Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16868480). Our registered address is 1 Travers Road, London, N7 7PR.
We are the data controller for the personal data we collect through this website. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact us at Lisa.Moses@missionmatch.co.uk.
2. What data we collect and why
We collect personal data through the following channels on this website:
- Confidential Call enquiries (clients): name, email address, phone number, the type of appointment you are seeking, and any additional detail you provide. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where you have consented, to follow up about our board search services.
- NED and Independent Director registrations: name, email address, phone number, board experience level, sector interests, governance training, and any background detail you share. We use this to consider you for relevant board opportunities and to maintain our candidate pipeline.
- Mentor registrations (Mission: Board for All): name, email address, phone number, board experience level, and your motivation for mentoring. We use this to process your application to the programme and contact you about your participation.
- Insights subscription: email address only. We use this to send you our quarterly governance insights and research. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
The legal basis for processing in each case is your explicit consent, given via the checkbox on the relevant form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
3. How long we keep your data
We hold personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:
- Client enquiries: 12 months from the date of your enquiry, unless we enter into a working relationship with you, in which case we will hold relevant data for the duration of that relationship and for 6 years thereafter in accordance with our legal obligations.
- Candidate records (NEDs and Independent Directors): 24 months from the date of registration, or from the date of your most recent active engagement with us, whichever is later. We will contact you before this period expires to ask whether you wish to remain on our pipeline.
- Mentor records: For the duration of your participation in the Mission: Board for All programme, and for 12 months thereafter.
- Insights subscribers: Until you unsubscribe. We will also remove inactive subscribers (no email opened in 24 months) from our list as part of routine data hygiene.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:
- Our named partners: Starbuck & Associates and Alexander Faraday Recruitment, where this is directly relevant to a search or programme you have engaged with and you have consented to your details being shared with Mission Match partners.
- Client organisations: In the course of a board search, candidate details (CV, profile summary, assessment notes) will be shared with the relevant client organisation. We will always inform you before doing so.
- Service providers: We use Netlify to host this website and process form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States and processes data under standard contractual clauses in compliance with UK GDPR. We use Gmail (Google Workspace) for email. No other third-party processors have access to your personal data.
- Legal obligation: We may disclose data where required to do so by law or by a regulatory authority.

- Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time. We will action deletion requests within 14 days, except where we are required to retain data by law.

- Right to restrict processing: You can ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: You can object to our processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis.
